             Some comments from collectors

“I first became acquainted with some of Keith Sluder's work in San Diego in the early 1980's.  To say that I was immediately attracted to and entranced by them would be a complete understatement.  What first drew me in was the innocence of the scenes that Keith had been able to depict...a little boy sitting on top of a mailbox, hundreds of daisies in a field along a roadside with a quaint farmhouse in the background, some eggs in a nest, autumn leaves of impeccable beauty, and a breathtaking snow scene.  And it never seemed to end!  It was as if I had discovered someone who was able to capture everything of which I had ever hoped to dream!  Keith Sluder is a true artist, illustrator, and an undeniably absolute magician through the renderings of his craft.  The originals and prints I possess are veritable treasures that bring me boundless joy.  Others who have seen these creations are ALWAYS amazed at Keith's talent.”

“I bought my first Keith Sluder painting in 1980 at an art auction held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for the benefit of the Graduate College.  I was not a collector, but attended the affair as a favor to the Dean and at the insistence of my wife.  I bought what I liked and spent $2,000.  The Sluder painting was entitled Winter's Final Stand and was painted in egg tempera.  I have bought six additional originals and have 13 of his prints hanging in my home.  The themes vary in style and form.  Keith’s talent with texture is dazzling and I have also commissioned him to do two large forest or woodland scenes.  Guests in my home often comment on the artwork.  I enjoy them every day.”
