Keith Sluder was born on a small rural farm in Asheville, North Carolina. He learned early in life to appreciate the tranquility and mystery in nature. His early years were spent on the drafting tables for architectural companies and the aerospace industry; giving him a solid foundation to later channel into fine art.
Keith is considered one of the most versatile artists in America; mastering oils and later moving into water-based media, inks, pastels, and graphite renderings. He describes his style as MAGIC REALISM which consists of super realism mixed with a splash of looseness or fantasy. Keith is truly the Visual Master of Perception. A prolific artist, one year Keith painted 115 paintings and Bernard Fiello, Keith’s agent and exclusive art dealer at the time, sold 110 of them that same year!
Keith has owned two galleries and was part owner in a third; all in Southern California. He has also been promoted by many galleries and art dealers nationwide as well as internationally. His 1,500 collectors include a geographical span from Hollywood to Florida as well as in Japan and China; with commissions from Ernest Borgnine, The Dinah Shore Tennis Classic, William Holden, William Fawcett, William Shatner, Peter Breck, a former US Ambassador to China, and many Fortune 500 Corporations. Keith was a guest artist at Red Skeleton’s private art show at the MGM Hotel in Reno. He has raised money with his art for fundraisers through the National Football League, Ronald McDonald House, and the Cancer Society. Keith graduated with honors from ITT Technical Institute with a degree in Drafting & Design.
